Bio

Bemah’s sound is rooted in East Coast hip hop. The production is groove-centered. Live feeling drums sit with heavyweight low end. Gritty textures, sample chops, scratches and vocal cuts are woven into his records. Artists like the Wu-Tang Clan, Mobb Deep, DJ Premier, and The Notorious B.I.G. shaped the foundation. Rather than recreating that era, he studies its rhythm and attitude and translates it into modern bass music.

Bemah recently released “Crooktoons”, his 2026 showcase featuring 13 records. This mixtape serves as a clear example of the projects direction. The mix carries the energy of boom bap into a modern bass context. Tracks like “Stuntin” blend that raw hip hop sound with heavy energy. This approach has earned support from artists including Levity, Liquid Stranger, Zeds Dead, Excision, Effin, K+Lab & Richard Finger.

Recent winner of Insomniac's Discovery Project, Bemah was hand selected by Levity and had the opportunity to perform at Electric Forest. Keep an eye out for his upcoming release with Discovery Project to hear the track that won him the slot.

Whether in the studio or behind the decks, Bemah is tirelessly sharpening his craft and letting the music speaks for itself.
